I never really wanted to go to China, injured from all the
horrific images stored in my brain as a kid derived from foreign films and social
studies books. The thought of roasted
animals marketed for potential meal ideas and so forth really freaked me out. I mean really can you
imagine live, I meant dead, animals hanging over your head as you walk up and down the street in an effort to site see? Neither can I, that’s why I never wanted to go! As I got older
however, I learned that the beautifully landscaped sovereign state of China has so much more to
offer but those images, those thoughts, rested in the back of my mind which
totally perverted the desire to travel there.
So how did we get here for KWK's travel Thursday's?!? Well an Instragram post inspired the search and from my findings
I came across this beautifully, God crafted, island resort. Anantara Sanya Resort near the
South China Seas. I am a dreamer at heart, so if you declutter your mind as your
read the description of this fantasy island, I promise you will take a mini
vacay in your mind and experience a moment of total bliss and satisfaction as your unravel the hidden treasures of China with me! You
ready?
The resort is located right on the water, semi bordered by a
lush mountain field with bulging
greenery and an ocean of lucid waters that is sure to set the atmosphere. On the resort, you and your friends, or boo, can
enjoy several amenities immediately upon arrival. Take your pick: from cooking classes,
to playing tennis, visiting the luxury spa offering a variety of tea treatments
and massage packages that is sure to relax and rejuvenate. Can you feel the
sand between your toes as you walk up and down the sandy beach and hear the
ocean waves rumble? Or imagine you and your bestie
enjoying cocktails at the pool bar or tasting lavishing Asian and Oriental inspired
cuisine that is sure to serenade your palate with each mouthful? Are you there
yet?
If your desire is to never leave the room I can see that happening as well. The room offers earth tone colors that are seemingly designed to bring the outside in. You have a flat screen, DVD player and iPod dock in your abode for your entertainment pleasure and if you can’t make it to the spa, try the terrazzo bathtub complete with a rain water shower! Ow! So now the million dollar question....... what do you need for this vacation?
Money- Rooms average $250 a night + 1,600 flight + spending cash= $2800 min per person for a 5 day trip
Travel Time- It takes a full day and some change to travel so dress casual and comfy. Expect two layovers (min) each way. So be patient, keep in mind your dream vacation awaits you.
Clothing- Minimal (Sundresses, swim suits, and sunscreen)
Company- Anyone that is sure to enjoy the experience as much as you
