What are your plans for the 1st of November? It’s
nearing 2014 so why not end your year with a bang. If you’ve been working hard
all year or been stuck in the house, now is the time to get out and enjoy all
the wonderful things the city of Atlanta has to offer you. Single ladies (& those who are taken) KWK
has got you covered this weekend, check out my findings for what you can do this
weekend in the ATL.
Food
Alma Cocina….have you heard it?
Connected to the Ritz Carton on Peachtree Street why not grab lunch on Friday between
11am & 3pm, and/ or dinner for the entire weekend from 5pm-11pm for some
fine Mexican cuisine? As an rather upscale Mexican restaurant you can enjoy
fresh guacamole, a variety of succulent salads, flavorful tacos, and even filet
mignon which all sounds like a winner to me! So why not call up your girls to
share some laughs over drinks and good eats, or share this experience with your
boo for a romantic evening out. Check out the extensive menu and other
information on the website below.
Fun & Adventurous
Hey, I don’t know if it’s because I have been busy week or
what, but I definitely could use some R&R. So I found this spa, Nailgrove
& Spa Salon where you can receive a 60-minute massage and a chocolate mani
and pedi for combined total of $40. How can one beat that?? You can also choose
one or the other, for example the chocolate mani and pedi only for $19 or the
60 minute massage for $29. What a way to relax with your girlfriends after all
your hard work. This exclusive deal is only offered on Groupon so log on today
and redeem your ticket to R&R filled weekend.
If you prefer to be outdoors, enjoying this crisp fall weather,
you and your favs can go out to Chastain Park for their annual Arts Festival
being held this Saturday and Sunday. Here you can enjoy arts from over 150 artists
and artisans, acoustic music, drinks, food, and fine arts and crafts.
Empowerment
Want to create a vision board or need help revamping your existing
board? If so, Chevon Hines Enterprises will be hosting a huge vison board party
at 200 Peachtree this Saturday from 11am-3pm. The entry fee is $20 and that includes
parking, your poster board, materials to design board and light snacks. They
also ask that you bring 2 magazines that you do not mind sharing and a positive
attitude. Connect with Chevon Hines via
FB to keep connected with this event.
As always I am an advocate for fun and hard work but it all
needs to be balanced with some quality time with the Father. I recommend Free
Chapel, located in Gainesville, GA however they have a live stream you can
enjoy from anywhere. If Free Chapel does not interest you, YouTube some sermons,
visit your local church, or tune into a pastor on TV, just make sure you GET IT
IN!
